I know, I know….how am I just now reading this book?!?!
Although I loved the cover and heard amazing things about “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” by Jenny Han, I admit I was concerned the story would be a little…too young adult for me. However, the concept of the book drew me back in recently as i was browsing my bookshelf. I can’t imagine how things would unfold if every guy I wrote about had access to my journal entries about them…*cringes* Anyway, I’m happy I gave it a try because I’m far from disappointed!
I absolutely loved the focus on family in Lara Jean’s story. Kitty is such a sassy and lovable little character while Margo is so admirable. I don’t want to give anything away, but I will say I found all the other characters to be likable in their own way as well….(outside of the awful Genevieve)
This read may not be for everyone. There’s immature decisions and high school drama, but that’s to be expected considering Lara Jean’s age and the nature of the story.
I’m already diving into book two in the series. If you find you’re enjoying it halfway through the book I recommend purchasing P.S. I Still Love You to have on standby. This one ends with a little bit of a cliffhanger!
