The Sweetest Way to Celebrate Ten Years of Marriage
One of my favorite things about family photography is getting to document not only where a family is today, but also the story that brought them here.
This sweet family of four reached out because Mom and Dad were celebrating their 10 year anniversary and wanted to capture both family portraits and a few images of just the two of them. I absolutely loved that idea.
We spent the evening laughing and documenting this season of life with their two daughters. The girls were full of personality, and it was easy to see how much love this family shares. Some of my favorite moments came from the candid interactions between them.
As the session continued, we shifted our focus to Mom and Dad. Watching them together was such a beautiful reminder that love stories don’t stop after the wedding day. They grow, change, and become richer with every chapter.
Before we knew it, the sun had disappeared completely. In fact, we photographed right up until there was literally no light left in the sky. By the time we were exchanging hugs and saying goodbye, dusk had settled in around us and the day was officially done.
Sessions like this always leave me feeling grateful. Ten years of marriage. Two wonderful daughters. Countless memories already made and so many more still to come. It was such an honor to preserve a small piece of their story.
