There are countless dining and entertainment options in Knoxville, TN! As someone who is still new-ish to the area, I’ve made it a mission to try all of the restaurants downtown. Tupelo Honey ranks high on the list of restaurant experiences.
Main Dish: Sriracha Honey Fried Chicken & Waffles
Side: Parmesan Rosemary Potato Cracklins
Drink: Southern Hospitality Mimosa (mega)
Though I was full after one half of my meal, I literally didn’t want to take leftovers home because the chicken & waffles were so good! The sriracha honey sauce mixed with syrup was the perfect combination for a flavorful twist on this popular breakfast/brunch item.Â
The Potato Cracklins were underwhelming in comparison, but I was satisfied with the meal overall.
I’m not a lightweight, but one mega mimosa definitely made me feel warm and fuzzy enough to stop there. Very tasty and perfect for warmer weather.
Our servicer was extremely pleasant and our food arrived in a timely manner. Prices were comparable to most spots I’ve tried in downtown Knox. Plan for a minimum of $20 to be spent per person. We have zero complaints after our visit and will definitely be back to try more items on the menu! If you’re looking for a restaurant to try with modern twists on some of your favorite classics, I highly recommend it!Â
