Golden Light and Growing Families in the Smoky Mountains

There is something so special about maternity sessions, but this one felt especially sweet.

In just a few short weeks, Kendra, Elijah, and their adorable little girl will be welcoming a baby boy into their family. Watching them interact throughout the evening made it easy to see just how excited they are for this next chapter.

We were treated to the dreamiest golden light as the sun dipped lower behind the mountains, creating the perfect backdrop for documenting these final days as a family of three.

One of the things I love most about maternity photography is that it captures a season that feels both long and fleeting at the same time. The anticipation, the excitement, the wondering who this little person will become. It’s all part of a chapter that deserves to be remembered.

I left this session feeling so thankful to have documented these memories for such a sweet family. Before long, these images will serve as a reminder of the days spent waiting, dreaming, and preparing to meet the little boy who is already so loved.
