A Smoky Mountain mini portrait session is the perfect way to capture memories that will last a lifetime in just 25 minutes!
Your mini session will consist of traditional posed photos and “candid” moments that feel a bit more natural, all surrounded by the gorgeous scenery of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
After I’ve covered all the logistics of the session (time, location, etc) I find that many families like to have a bit of guidance with their wardrobe. Here are a few pointers to help you!
What to wear
harmonize colors
Neutral colors like whites, creams, beiges and browns are selections you can never go wrong with!
During warmer months, earthy tones, soft pastels, and muted colors work well with the lush greenery!
During cooler months it’s a great time to pull out those rich, deep colors – burgundy, emerald, navy, etc. I prefer warmer shades for fall and cooler shades for winter.
comfort is important
Especially for children! Breathable fabrics are perfect for spring/summer and layers are encouraged during fall and winter! Please wear shoes that are broken in to some extent. Because we will likely be capturing your memories in grassy areas, heels are typically not ideal.
avoid these
I recommend avoiding busy patterns, overly bright or neon colors, shirts with text and graphics unless the design is specifically intended for the session.
