This session was such a cozy one — tucked away in a sweet little Gatlinburg cabin with the prettiest natural light streaming through the windows. We spent the morning capturing this adorable family just being themselves — snuggles on the couch, giggles with their little girl (who also got to celebrate her birthday with some cake and lots of love), and a few special moments with her aunt, grandparents, and the family pup. Mom is very close to welcoming baby number two, and the excitement in the air was so real. These are the kinds of sessions that just feel like a warm hug.
If you’re thinking about planning an in-home lifestyle session, here are a couple reasons why they work so well — especially for small families and little ones:
Being at home (or in a rental that feels like home) takes the stress off. No packing bags, no rushing out the door — just you, your people, and your space. Everyone relaxes a little more, and it really shows in the photos.
Lifestyle sessions are about capturing connection, not perfection. Whether it’s a tickle fight, a shared snack, or quiet cuddles, those little in-between moments are what you’ll want to remember years from now.
